Roger Williams University's Main Campus is located in scenic Bristol, RI, nestled between Narragansett Bay to the West and Mount Hope Bay to the East. The Main Campus is only 20 miles from Providence, the Rhode Island state capital; 60 miles from Boston, MA; and 200 miles from New York City. RWU graduate students live in a number of communities directly north of campus, over the Sakonnet Bay to the East, or on Aquidneck Island to the South. Most of these areas are small to mid-size towns, though urban opportunities are also available a short drive from campus. The RWU campus is served by two major bus lines, the 60 and 61x, by the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA). Students traveling from a distance will also utilize T.F. Green Airport in Warwick, RI, or Logan International Airport in Boston, MA. Regional train service is available from points in Rhode Island to Boston through MBTA services. Amtrak also serves several stations in Rhode Island with service from Maine to Washington, DC. Connecting train service is available in Boston; New Haven, CT; and New York, NY. RWU also has a metropolitan campus in downtown Providence, RI. This campus is home to our Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.), M.S. Leadership, and Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) programs, along with the RWU School of Law and University College. Students enjoy the abundance of arts and cultural opportunities, diverse food options, and outdoor activities the local area has to offer. Major cities like Boston, MA; Hartford and New Haven, CT; and New York, NY, are only a short drive away.
